Convention season UPDATE!

I hope you all had a good Memorial Day weekend. We spent Friday through Monday running a booth in the Dealers room at Fanime here in the Bay Area, and running our two panels (Romance 101 and a Shira Oka preview). It was nice to meet community members in our own area for a change, and both of our panels went surprisingly well (especially considering the experimental format of the second one).
Fortunately, someone in our audience taped the Romance 101 panel, so hopefully we'll be able to upload that sometime. For those who couldn't make it to the panel-- we used our in-game engine to run the presentation, with various characters from our game narrating the slides. Then we solicited the help of eight brave volunteers from our audience, to be voice actors for the characters... occasionally with hilarious results!
Also interesting to note, this was also the first convention where we were approached for a couple brief press interviews. I'll post more information about those when it's available.
A-Kon
This weekend will be our first time at A-Kon in Dallas, Texas. We have a space in the Exhibits Hall, which is in the area outside of the Dealers Room. Since A-Kon ends up being the weekend immediately after Fanime, we won't be shipping our full booth setup over there (to avoid paying exorbitant fees). We'll still be taking forum signups though, if anyone's interested.
So if any of you are going to A-Kon, be sure to stop by our our table to sign up for your special A-Kon forum icon!
Convention season begins

Last weekend, we went to our first convention of 2007-- Anime Central in Rosemont, IL.
This was our third year at ACen (second year with a booth in the dealers room), and it was a blast as always. It was good to see a number of familiar faces from last year, and make more new friends this year. In particular, we were pleasantly surprised by the number of people who stopped by our booth or panel and told us they remembered us from last year.

Those of you who saw us at ACen, we hope you will take some time to give us some feedback on our forums on what you thought of Shira Oka. We'd love to hear your comments, good or bad.

Just a quick little note and sketch for our web visitors. ^_^
